Sage One Fly Rods are the first fly rods to take advantage of Sage’s groundbreaking Konnetic technology. Konnetic technology, the most recent evolution in fly rod innovation, uses new materials combined with pioneering manufacturing methods and processes. This technology incorporates an optimized ratio of Sage’s proprietary resin to exclusive high modulus aerospace-grade carbon fiber.

The latest construction methods include Sage’s Advanced Modulus Positioning System (AMPS); a process that precisely aligns and positions carbon fiber materials to exacting tolerances for the greatest blank strength, delivering extremely efficient energy transfer throughout the shaft. Using Sage’s High Compression Molding process, carbon fibers are compacted for optimum density and precise alignment while simultaneously fusing the 50 percent lighter all-carbon fiber inner core.

The ONE offers exceptional tracking with virtually no lateral or torsional movement, resulting in unparalleled casting accuracy. The inherent strength of Konnetic technology allows ONE rods to have a smaller diameter as well as weigh 25 percent lighter than comparable Sage rods. These attributes combine to provide augmented aerodynamic efficiency. Further innovations are the 70 percent lighter, low profile ferrules that help direct and carry energy through the rod without sacrificing strength, critical action and feel.

SAGE 4500 FLY REEL

The Sage team went outside the box for traditional fly reel design to produce one the lightest and toughest reels on the market.  The sophisticated, high performance 3:1 geared graphite drag unit provides the kind of power and smoothness you'd expect from a large, high-end drag system, only without the bulk or weight. The completely sealed, self-lubricating drive gears and sealed graphite drag washers mean 4500 Series reels are maintenance free and unaffected by sand, dunkings or blistering runs. The drag system features a one revolution adjustment knob for quick and accurate drag settings.

The innovative offset drag system packs enough power to put the brakes on the most aggressive runs you will ever encounter. The frame and spool are machined from the finest aerospace-grade aluminum, polished, and custom annodized to resist teh corrosive effects of saltwater. In short, Sage designers made sure it will take all the punishment and abuse you can inflict on this reel.
