BUTT MONKEY FLY
The Butt Monkey was designed by Scott Smith of Thunderbay, Ontario for giant brook trout. The original butt monkey, as seen on the cover of Modern Streamers for Trophy Trout, did not have lead eyes but I added them later for a little jigging action. With or with out them, the butt monkey is one of the best big trout patterns I have ever fished.

Aside from a silly name this is a well made fly. Strong hook. I have used other brands where I've literally broken the hook trying to put the fly into the foam of a fly box. I have used in Lakes and Rivers in the Pacific Northwest with success.
