I've been looking for a nice carry bag for my rods and reels and once again Fishpond has delivered. Currently I have two rods, three reels, two pairs of sunglasses and four fly boxes in the case. Once on the river, I can pick what is needed, throw it in the sling and off I go. Very useful piece of equipment.

Nice quality rod & reel carrier. Hope to use it to carry fly rods & reels traveling in the future.

This is a great bag. Everything I own from Fishpond is top class and this is no exception. It looks good, does it job and is a joy to use. I store my rods and reels in these-one bag for each rod weight. When I want to go fishing I just pull out the appropriate bag and everything I need (short of boots and clothing) is inside. Love it and highly recommend

Fishpond has some great gear bags and this is one of them...currently I use it for reel storage but great for short trips with rods and reels.

The Dakota case is fabulous. It holds eight rods and reels and has pockets for fly lines, leaders, tippets, flies, and all the other gear needed for an extended trip. The quality is spot on. I highly recommend it to anyone.

As always a fantastic product from Fishpond. Well constructed and thought out. If you pack it properly, you are good for an overnighter to the Bahamas. No waiting for lost luggage.

After nearly 10 years of hard use, this bag is still the perfect answer to my rod, reel, and leader/tippet transportation needs. Sure, it's got a few worn areas, but all the zippers work perfectly, and the design is ingenious. This is the first - and still the best - of the "long-profile" style of carrying cases. Many have imitated it, but not have surpassed it.

Perfect for carrying prized rods/reels through airports without checking.

I recently went on a trip to Mexico and our bag with three rods got lost on the way there. We received it after a few days but it still was frustrating. So I talked to many experienced anglers who travel a lot and the Fishpond Dakota received the highest ratings. I‘m now really happy I got one and will be able to carry my rods plus additional tackle in a safe manner on the plane. The quality is always top notch as always with Fishpond. Go get one.

There are 4 adjustable compartments for reels/spools. I was able to fit 9 reels/spools comfortably. My Hatch 5+ was the largest reel. I currently have four 4 piece rods in there, but could probably fit another two of the right length. I was unable to fit my Winston Super X 4 Weight in this case. So I'll need to pack its tube when traveling. There are two zipper sliders with holes in them so they can be locked together to prevent easy theft. The rod socks can be strapped down to secure them. There are some pockets on this case which could hold some flat items, such as documents. I'm quite satisfied with the case as it will help me keep my rods and reels safely organized.
