Frankenstein Sculpin is an excellent pattern that imitates a common baitfish: the sculpin. I use this fly on many trout streams, particularly, a spring creek where the fish are very wary. It's designed with a heavy head, which allows the fly to drop to the angler's desired water depth quickly. The Frankenstein Sculpin is an excellent fly to use when fishing streamers for large trout in deep or fast-moving water.

Used this pattern around lake michigan for smallmouth in the spring... they couldn't resist it. Swims very well and looks awesome in the water
