New anglers can purchase the Buckskin Mary's with confidence, with one caveat: THE BOOT IS A FULL SIZE LARGER THAN YOUR AMERICAN SHOE SIZE. I WORE TWO PAIR (8 AND 7) AND VERIFIED THIS.
Having made that caveat, these boots are a perfect first-time wading boot for the lady angler:
1. They are accessible: they aren't inexpensive, and they aren't insane, either. Fishing can get insane, so this is good news. Also, the boot itself isn't complicated--remember, first time waders don't know anything about what the boot is supposed to feel like or do. They lace easily and well, and the interchangeable soles are so easy to figure out you almost feel like you're doing it wrong.
2. Their utility is excellent: the boot keeps you snug and supported, steady on the wet/mossy rocks.
3. They are elegant--the boot is beautiful, with the blue accents to the same grey as my waders.
I can look and feel like a pro, and get the results of a pro, if I buy Korkers Buckskin Mary's with the nice nobblyyyy metal treads. The access they give you is breathtaking, and more than worth the price.
