They are very comfortable boots and the idea of the sole that can be changed is great. I wore through the rubber on my sole pretty quickly. It took about 2 months and around 20 miles of hiking but the rubber started to rip off and separate from the plastic. If you do lots of hiking you probably need to buy the upgraded sole.

The uppers of the boot are comfortable and well padded. The ability to switch out soles based on different conditions and to be able to easily replace if needed is great to prevent the need for multiple pairs of boots. However, as some people have noted, the soles can sometime pull away from the boots in certain conditions and will be mud wedged between them. However, with proper care I think these boots are a great choice.

I wear a size 13, it seemed like 14 was too small so I went 15. Once in the water they feel like a ton of bricks. I think I could have gone with 14s but they felt too tight when i dry tested them in my waiters.
