SIMMS did a good job with these boots. They're rather expensive, but are well designed. I got the Vibram soled boots with the matching Alumibite cleats. You can install ten cleats per boot, but it's your choice. SIMMS sells ten in a puck, so you'd need two pucks if you want to max out each boot. That's what I did. Note that you need cleats made for these boots. Though this shop had them in stock, they were not listed on their web site when I placed my order in December 2019. ( This is what's needed: G4 Pro Alumibite Cleats. ) Each cleat screws into a metal anchor. Initially the anchors have a blank plug screwed into them which need to be removed first. They provide the tool for that. This way the threads remain clean, should one decide to install the cleats at a later time.
These boots are very comfortable. I found the laces a bit short, but still manageable. One of the nice features is a D ring attached to the tongue of each boot so that the gravel guard can be secured properly. I'm pleased with the purchase. Yes, the boots were rather pricey, but they're functional, comfortable, and should last quite a long time.
