NEW! ECHO CARBON XL EURO NYMPH 3100 FLY ROD 3WT 10'0"

The New Echo Carbon XL Euro Nymph rod delivers a perfect budget Euro Nymph rod designed specifically for the nymph or tight line angler. Designed using the very popular Echo Carbon XL graphite and resins, the Euro Nymph rod can handle any trout situation including dry fly, wet fly, or nymphing. The 3wt 10'0" is perfect for small to medium size rivers. This 3wt will easily handle nymphng rigs, smaller streamers, and deliver surprising long casts, while having a strong butt section to land larger fish than most 3wt rods. This is our Pro Staff choice for the best all around weight and length for smaller trout applications.

Tim Rajeff spent years designing the Echo Carbon XL rods so they would have an exceptional smooth action and feel to appeal to a broad range of anglers, while being virtually effortless to cast. Now with the new Euro Nymph Rods, anglers will find the perfect nymphing rod for all types of trout angling. Echo is legendary for building exceptional, high-performance rods that rival the best rods on the market, at a much lower price. The Echo Carbon XL fly rods are the sweetest casting rods and compare to high-end rods that cost 4 times as much. If you are looking for a fantastic, medium-action trout rod at a very modest price, the Echo Carbon XL was made for you!

Couldn’t be happier with this rod. Very sensitive, great euro nymphing rod. Rod is light weight, pairs with my 4-5 reel perfectly. Price is unbeatable for the quality.

This rod is probably the best euro rod out there for the price as far as I’m aware. This rod is sensitive enough to detect very light bites—I am a beginner at tight line nymphing but my first day using this rod brought almost two dozen trout to the net. It’s easy to say that I recommend this rod.

A three weight rod with backbone. A excellent rod that throws a line with ease. Performs like rods that cost two to three times as much.

This rod is amazing! Looks nice, feels amazing, super light, and is able to hold up to the fight from some larger fish. A very good Euro Nymphing rod for the price.

This rod has beautiful colors in the sun and is very lightweight and sensitive. You can feel everything on the bottom with this rod! Paired with a zero and orvis tactical trout line.

When I was looking for a euro dedicated rod I went back and forth between so many different rods, reading reviews, visiting shops and fishing with other friends set ups. Cortland, Sage, and Redington make great euro rods and I've caught fish on them from friends who own them, but I own several Echo rods in different sizes and have been really happy with their build. Being new to euronymphing, it was tough to commit to a $250 + rod when I'm certainly not going to be competing anytime soon and I tend to fish dries. What I needed was the extra length and something light enough at the end the feel those slight ticks and takes. So far this rod checks all those boxes, with the bonus benefit being strong enough to chuck dries and small streamers if I really need it to. I paired it with a .22 Cortland level line and a mono rig/leader I put together myself. Couldn't be happier.

I wanted to try my hand at euro nymphing, but was on a budget, as such I was looking at the CBXL, Shadow and the Cortland. The Shadow and Cortland both had many favourable reviews, whilethe CBXL reviews were harder to find. The few I did find were positive. I had some previous experience with the Carbon line, so I decided to give it a try as the price was very attractive. Upon receiving the rod, I was impressed with the fit and finish, as well as the weight and feel. Blank and components appear to be good quality and are quite attractive considering the cost of the rod. The rod tube is a nice touch, with a modified version of the Echo logo for the nymph model. I like that the handle has a cork end cap/"fighting" butt. Have yet to toss any overhead casts on it, but I fully intend to as the rod is marketed as being suitable for a variety of techniques, and the action feels like it will perform great. Being totally new to euro/tight line nymphing, I was anxious to try it out on the water, but have not had time to hit up the usual trout streams. This weekend I had the opportunity to use it on a local medium sized river for Smallies, to get an idea of how the rod would perform. I was combing a hole in the river that had previously produced for me, with tandem mop flies. Rod cast effortlessly, and was light and responsive. On my 4th pass, I managed to hook into two smallies. The rod had plenty of butt power to pull the doubleheader out of the flow. After those fish I continued to work along the stretch, and caught several more fish. The rod has great power when fighting a fish, but the tip section is still plenty soft to protect tippet and quite responsive on subtle takes, even from 6" fish. Overall very pleased with this rod, definitely performs well above it's price point, in my opinion. Can't wait to put this to use on the trout!
