I wear an 8.5 in regular hiking boots. After reading recommendations, I ordered these wading boots in size 10. They fit perfectly. I recently wore them on a trip to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. They performed great and were very comfortable. Excellent wading boots.

I had a hard time sizing this. Decided to try 10s first. Way too tight. Read somewhere online these go probably two sizes up so got 12s. Too big. The guys at Reelflyrod were patient sent me 11s. They fit great. Super cool boot. I'm very happy. Thanks guys.

These boots are high quality and seriously light. I would highly recommend these to anyone that puts some miles on their feet while fishing.
Also, be sure to order a size up. For example, I wear a 10.5 size sneaker. An 11 in these will not fit. You have to size up to 12.

Quality boot. Combination of light and durable. Wear a shoe size 8, ordered a size 9 to accommodate wader footies and wader socks. Fit great and very comfortable!

These boots feel more like high cut trail runners. I feel athletic in them and I’m not afraid to push myself scrambling over rocks and logs. Love these boots!

Great fit. Predictable confidence-inspiring level of feel. Comfortable. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5

Great fit. Predictable confidence-inspiring level of feel. Comfortable and what a wading boot should be! All of those are ways I describe the Orvis Mens Ultralight Wading Boots.
I Decided to give lighter boots a try after wearing traditional leather ones for over 20 yrs and WOW! I'm a convert! I was always concerned with how durable a lighter weight boot would be over a more "guide-level" boot, but after getting these that concern faded into the past with how well made they are. The materials feel bombproof and the fit and finish of them is spot on. Orvis quality through and through.
I paired them with some of the new Orvis Clearwater waders, also a solid product from Orvis and have to say the two go together like peanut butter and jelly. They also work well fit and function wise wet-wading when paired with the Orvis neoprene wet wading socks which is how I wore them today.
I'd be remiss if I did not mention the fit and feel of these one more time as it is that great! As is the support and how fast they drain water when you are walking and hiking between spots. Excited to put the miles on them! I fish a lot of backcountry small streams littered with slippery rocks, boulders, and fallen trees and put them through their paces today in a good amount of those types of scenarios. From bushwacking down the banks to hopping from boulder to boulder they performed well. At one point I was knee-deep in soft sand/mud and after a couple of quick shakes, they shed all the mud stuck to them. Once I finished fishing that spot and climbed back up the bank they shed water and weight quickly.
They felt as good as my $180 hiking boots when I was walking between spots and actually lace up better than them to which I joked my hiking boot manufacturer should take some notes from Orvis on boot design, especially when it comes to the laces and lacing system. They're that good.
