    Awesome rod for the $$$
Travis Short (Paint Lick, Kentucky) | November 28th, 2020
I purchased the 3wt, this was my first fly rod ever. That being said maybe not the best to learn to cast on as a beginner. This is a carbon blank and is pretty fast. I soon after bought a glass rod and learned how to cast with that(much slower). Now that have been fly fishing about 8 months I use this rod regularly, it’s an awesome rod for the money no doubt! Great craftsmanship and just overall a great looking rod. I paired it with a Redington 2/3 Zero click and pawl reel and it’s a well balanced awesome setup for the creek fishing I do here in central Kentucky. It will handle the little guys all the way to pound, pound and half smallmouth! Great rod, you won’t be disappointed.
