My first Redington rod, bought as a backup to my Echo. Has a really nice, balanced action for both throwing streamers on a sinking line, and dries with floating. Looks really nice too.

This is my third Redington Rod. I have a 7 foot 3 wt. and an 8 foot 4wt. I am 68 years old and have been fishing for trout since I was 24. Been exclusively fly fishing and fly tying for the last 29 years. I have a 9 foot 4/5 weight IM6 two piece rod. Been doing some Euro style nymphing with it. I wanted a four piece rod for easier travelling. I didn't want to go to pure Euro nymphing rod as I feel it is limited. At my age, I didn't want to pay a lot for a rod. I bought my first Redington rod about ten years ago. I fish many different sized streams so I use several sizes of rods. I haven't fished with this rod yet but am looking forward to it. It seems lighter and more flexible that my current 4/5 wt. It packs down to about two and a half . With the divided rod case, you don't need a rod sock feet. I have not been disappointed with my Redington rods. They are a good value.
