A leader & time saver ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5

Works as expected. Saves me from having to waste a bunch of leaders. Saves time on not having to tie blood knots constantly out on the water. Would recommend.

I use these for Great Lakes steelhead but i only use the 25 lb ring. 45 seems overkill except for maybe PNW steelies

A must have ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5

They work exactly as expected. A must have for Euro nymphing. I was a little concerned that the edges seem sharp. But, have never had an issue cutting tippet or breaking off at the ring. I typically use 5X and smaller tippet with a clinch knot with no issues.

Don't rule out saltwater use ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5

So I tried something new these past couple of weeks. I have been using tippet rings in freshwater for years. They just save so much time and leader material, I love them. Because of this I decided to just try the 45lb steelhead tippet rings for salt. I never did this before because I didn't know if they would rust or hold up or how the knots would be compared to fluoro-mono knots. It turns out the tippet rings work great in salt as well! They do not rust (have had the same one for 2 weeks with no show of wear), knots hold strong to large redfish, and most importantly, I have keep the same leader on for the past 2 weeks (which is saving me some money). Pretty impressed.

Makes Fishing Simpler ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5

Blood knots are easy to tie, but they eat up your leaders. Tippet rings solve that. They also give you a breaking point when you need to snap your line off of a stuck fly, yet they aren't weak when pulling in fish. They are well designed products and Rio makes smooth rings that don't cut into your leader or tippet. I recommend them.

Dead useful ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5

Yeah, they are great for double fly rigs, and for the euro rods, but I have actually found them to be great for even tying on to my little 3wt I use on the neighborhood pond for bluegill and bass. Those little fish can tear apart small foam gurglers, and being able to have another fly and tippet rigged up, ready to tie on to my kids rods, allows me to get them back to fishing and gives me more time to catch as well.

Great for Rigging ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5

I like to use tippet rings for adding tippet to my leaders so that I don't have to cut into them quite as much. They also offer a really great breaking point if you get hung up and have no choice but to break your line. Some tippet rings have rough edges which weaken your leader and tippet over time, but these have soft edges which prevent that. I recommend them!

Haven't failed yet ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5

I use the 2mm for Euro Fishing. I use them between my sighter and tippet. I haven't had one fail yet. One pack should last long time unless you tie all of your buddies leaders for them.
