I like this line, it has been my go-to line for fishing saltwater bays in Southern California. Probably not exactly a "cold" water situation, but it is holding up nicely. It can get deep if needed, and you can keep it from going super deep with a lighter fly and/or a quick retrieve. The intermediate running line keeps if from being a depth charge type line where you are dredging the bottom. The head doesn't tangle, but the intermediate can get coiled a little at times. The coiling/tangling is certainly better on this line than my last SA Frequency line.

This line gets down to where the fish are very quickly. And with it's short, front-loaded head, you can also get some serious distance when stripers are a bit further out. A great line for those of us in the Northeast, fishing the salt.
