Introducing the SA Spey Lite collection, and the Integrated Scandi Spey line. Designed for light double-handed duty and with a relatively long front taper for more delicate deliveries, the Scandi Lite is ideal for smaller streams and trout Spey applications. Available in grain weights from 150-360, this two-colored line features a textured, black marker at the end of the head that serves as a visible, and audible, notification on where to begin your cast. From riffling dries for spring steelhead to swinging streamers for trout, the Scandi Lite is Spey on a smaller scale.

Great on lighter and shorter rods for casting. Will even do dries in a pinch. Makes casting and handling easy from my Stealth Pro Pontoon.

I picked this line up with bass bugs on still water in mind. The short head makes casting in the wind, out on the lake, a breeze. I figure, the shorter the head, the less overhang, the less chance of me hooking myself, lol. I have the skagit version on another rod I use for pike and it works well so I figured I'd try the Skandi version on my bass rod, for a slightly more delicate presentation. Another quality line from the people at SA.

I paired this line up with my Redington Hydrogen Trout Spey 4wt and it's a great combination. Fishing stillwater with a traditional head system can cause the connection between the running line and the head to rattle through the guides. Not anymore with this new integrated head from SA. Especially if stripping your spey line is important to you and you not merely doing it for the swing. It also has both visual and audible markers to help you see and hear where the head begins. I got the 240gr line to match my 4wt Hydrogen. Yet more great quality from SA.
