I am a somewhat accident prone person and tend to be alittle rough on my gear. Combine that propensity with me finding myself having to bushwhack to get to some of my fishing spots- a burlier set of waders is a requirement. These Freestones are burly and that is what I need. There is plenty of mobility and I think these will serve me well chasing trout and steelhead. Thanks again ReelFlyRod. You guys are great.

I debated between these waders and the G3 waders. I decided to go with the Freestone since they were about half the price of the G3. I’m not disappointed. The waders fit well, I have no trouble squatting or crouching down, and they do what they’re supposed to do - keep me dry with just enough room for some thin insulating layers underneath. They are a bit more fitted than my previous waders, but this isn’t a criticism. It’s actually good for reducing the drag of the current on the material. However, it does mean you have to really pay attention to the sizing. Don’t just order based on your usual pants or shirt size. Use a flexible tape and measure your chest and stomach. I’m 5’6” and weigh about 175 lb. I usually wear 32/34 jeans and medium shirts. However, I needed a Large Short in these waders and the fit is perfect. So don’t assume your size, measure your chest and stomach and use the sizing chart.

I bought these waders a few weeks ago and used them on a trout fishing trip to the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. They fit very well using the fitting chart. Very comfortable and performed very well. I would definitely recommend.

My style of fishing is too demanding for any pair of waders to last more than three or four seasons, but cheap waders won't last more than three or four trips (been through that). These have proven to be a great balance of quality and price.

Excellent fit. I’m impressed with the quality of construction and can see that they will hold up to rigorous exploration.I intend to put them through the test. Very excited to invest in what will give me comfort and safe travels. Thanks

The waders came in quickly, as advertised and were packaged very well. I am excited to get them out in the water over the next few weeks!

I have been out 10 times now since I got my new Simms's Freestone waders. They are easy on and easy off compared to other brands. The sizing is great. I am 5'11" with some extra out front so I ordered the XL small. That gave me the shorter inseam length of the large yet with the extra room of the XL. I wear size 11 and a half shoe and the 9-11 stocking foot size is perfect for me without wadding up in the boot. Very happy to be able to purchase a wader with enough size options to fit me.

Great fit right out of the box. 6'3" tall and 260lbs, so I was grateful these fit me so well. Well made, comfy, and not heavy. They don't break the bank either compared to some of the super high end waders.
