I have recently made the switch from korkers to the Simms freestone wading boots. I found myself replacing the soles way too often and it just wasn’t cost effective for me. I feel that for the money, these boots are tough to beat. They really seem to grip the river bottom better than other boots that I have tried in the past. I typically wear a size 10 shoe, ordered the size 11 and the fit is perfect. Well with the money!

I would say these boots are among the best of wading boots under $200 price tag. They are way lighter than I expected and they absolutely did a great job on providing good grips on slippery surface.

Thank you Simms for making sz 16 & thank you REELFLYROD for the good price, prompt delivery & xlnt customer service.
The Freestones are a sturdy well made boot @ a great price imo. Much improved over a Simms boot I had years ago. These offer hiking boot type support & have a very stable base which will help on long days afoot. Only slight negative is with neoprene lining takes a bit longer to dry but does not affect me recommending them.

These are far better than my old Simms boots. My old boots (14 years old) are still fine, but my feet have grown a tiny bit since I bought them in college, and they have become too tight. Don't get me wrong, I had the budget boots in the past, and they fact they are still running strong after all this time is a testament to their durability. These have plenty of room in the toe box, and the rubber sole helps protect the ecosystem from nasty bugs. They aren't as heavy as my old boots either, so hiking deep into blue lines will be a lot more comfortable!

Just got these for work. Super comfortable and built really solid. My cabelas brand boots fell apart after 1 year. These will last much longer. True to size with neoprene warding socks or waders. Awesome!

Nice entry level boot. I wear an 10.5 shoe and the 11 size boots fits great. Sturdy and gets the job done.

Sturdy boot. Pretty good traction until I find slimy rocks, I’m sure studs will help. Normally wear a 10.5 in street shoes, an 11 is working well with the thickest wool socks I have. Great boot, thanks!

I had tried some other boots like Korker greenbacks and Orvis Clearwater. I found these to be much higher quality and better built. Some brands have had issues w sole delamination. I wear a 10.5 and 11 fits perfect. Also the fit around the ankles are better than the others I tried.

These are some seriously sturdy boots. They felt great wading out into some fast water this past weekend. The only thing I would make people aware of is that these boots are narrow. I have pretty wide feet so I do wish they offered a "wide" version. No big deal, just a note about the design.
