Rio's Bass Leaders are designed and built to match the needs of the bass fly fisher. The leaders are made of a medium stiff nylon and have a powerful taper design that will easily turn over large flies, and cope with tough winds. The copolymer material is incredibly tough and abrasion resistant.

Good.for times you needs little extra strength

I use this leader for all of my topwater bass fishing - hair bugs, hard bodied poppers, divers, gurglers. The 9' length works well in both rivers and lakes and the leader is stiff enough to turn over these wind resistant flies with ease. It's a bit too long for a subsurface/streamer leader on a sink tip, so I tie my own, or just use a short piece of straight tippet for those. But for the topwater bugs, this leader does the job with no knots to foul with grass and algae.
