    RIO BASS TIPPET

RIO finally came out with a Bass tippet material. A medium stiff tippet material with great abrasion resistance. RIO’s Bass Tippet is a medium stiff tippet material with great abrasion resistance. It is ideal for casting bigger flies like Clouser minnows and poppers, and tough enough to withstand being scraped over rocks and submerged trees. Four sizes are available; 8lb, 10lb, 12lb & 16lb, with 30 yards of material on each spool

Love this tippet for big flies. For floating lines I use it with the 9’ bass leaders (to extend leader life). For sinking lines and flies I just use about 4-6’ of this tippet tied straight to the line. Great stuff!

very strong and abrasion resistant. Ties knots very well with just the right amount of stiffness in warmer weather to turn over larger flies.
