SCIENTIFIC ANGLER DELUXE FLY TYING KIT

Fly fishing is one thing, but fly tying is an entirely different animal—one that includes, oddly enough, parts of animals. Our Deluxe Fly Tying Kit is a great way to get started into the world of hook sizes, hackle colors, and endless jokes about your desk looking like something out of a taxidermy office.

    FEATURES

    • Everything you need to create effective dry flies, wet flies, nymphs and streamers
    • Includes deluxe fly-tying vise, bobbin and threader, bodkin, hackle pliers and scissors, hooks, thread, tinsel, wire, dubbing, hackle feathers and marabou

This kit is all you need to get going. No need for a fancy $400 vice. You’ll put hundreds of flies through one like this, well worth it.

I got this when I first started. It limits the type of flies you can tie but it's a great entry level kit for cheap. I only tied wooly buggers and mops on them because once you get into smaller hooks, this kit doesn't really allow you to tie them as well. hooks in the box are also quite weak. They bend on bigger fish.
