It’s bigger than I expected but is super light and floats like a cork.

This net is strong but light, and the netting itself is fish friendly and a good diameter. Overall the net has good depth, and could hold a smaller steelhead/larger trout.

I used to think expensive nets were only there for people who had too much money. That was until my cheap wooden net broke on the way to Colorado to fish the South Platte with my father. I ended up buying this Fishpond Nomad Hand Net afterward just to see what all the fuss was about and man do I now get it. This net is bomb proof. It is well made, it floats, it's tough as nails, the net material itself doesn't retain odors from dirty water the way threaded nets do, it looks great and best of all is the size. Thanks to its small handle and big, deep basket, this net can handle virtually any size river fish in North America and does so while being easy to carry on the river. Plus, this net fits perfectly in my Fishpond Submersible Sling Pack. The short handle fits right into the sling's net holster and makes it easy to grab while retrieving a fish. This is much better than long handled nets for those of us who enjoy wade fishing. Overall, I couldn't be happier with this product and now completely understand the hype and price. You will too!

The Fishpond Nomad collaboration is in my opinion the the best net on the market. Good quality materials and construction compliments it’s good looks as well. These nets will last a lifetime. This is my 2nd one and wanted something a little smaller than my current mid length net for hard core bush wacking to get to streams.

I am very stuck with how to review this net. It is a very lightweight and extremely durable net as with all fishpond nets. The bag is perfect for small fish and larger fish as the holes do not allow for them to get away and the depth and opening of the net allows a bit more ease with getting them inside the net.
The reason for the four star instead of a 5 star us due to the length of the handle. I believe it is too short and you can potentially lose some really nice fish just because there is a lack of reach. I have a waist net holder and a vest that has a built in net holder and both fit the net nicely without it dragging. However, I would spend the little extra to get the emereger size net instead of this one. It allows for better reach and is easier for you to net those big guys.

I paired this net with a quick attach for the back of one of my Simms jackets for MN steelhead fishing. Best net out there. Lite, strong, very durable net material and gentile on the fish. Excellent product. Thanks reelflyrod!

The Nomad hand net is perfect for fishing while wading. It is sturdy, floats, and hooks will not tangle. I look forward to using it for years.

It's very well made and I am sure to use it for many years to come. It's a bit heavier than expected and a bit bulkier than a traditional C&R net.
