I've always used SA backing on my reels. Love its strength, thinness, and long life. So I was particularly thrilled to see RFR had the same stuff for less than 1/2 the price I've been paying elsewhere: $9.95 for 250 yards of 30lb.? Talk about a great deal! (But don't tell them ...)

I find this backing particularly thin yet strong. Was looking for not your usual colour and this seems to do the trick. Have yet to test is properly but as usual seems like good quality from Scientific Anglers.

I put red on all my reels. Love the look. Seems like solid backing. Unfortunately, haven't had a fish take all my line out to test its break-strength yet! Someday (fingers crossed).
