Got this vise last year for my travel vise. Works just like all dyna king vises. Great holding power on what ever size hook I use. This vise is perfect for my travel vise just the right size and weight give it a 5 star. Would buy it over again. For the price and quality it’s hard to beat.

All Dyna-King vises are great. Amazing build quality, engineering, and precision in manufacturing. This particular model is one of their entry level models. I like it more than the Kingfisher, due to the length of the handle which makes setting the hook and rotating the barrel to inspect the bottom of your fly just a little bit easier. If you are new to tying and want a quality model at a good price that will last a lifetime, this is your vise.

I am a hobby tier and do local fly tying shows locally.
Have always wanted a Dyna-King vise because I liked the hook grooves in jaws.
Talked to a tier in Scotland that has tied on this particular vise for twenty years and he recommended.
Have couple friend that have either this model or Trekker that have had long time.
This is a great addition to my tying and excited to have this tool.
