I am a fan of Echo rods and use them for trout and steelhead. The Echo Trout XL is a nice rod, especially for the price. I would recommend it.

My son recently bought this rod for me as a birthday present. I was just lawn casted it so far, but can tell it will fish great with dries. I have several Echo rods and expect the same great quality
