Great addition to the Shadow 2 rod, but I feel like it is a little expensive for what you get.

With the extension added to the rod, the original outfitted reel isn't heavy enough to balance the pole out causing it to be nose heavy. I had to upgrade the reel. It's a good fix to buying an 11 foot rod. But the unbalanced part makes it uncomfortable to use.

I was able to reach a distant fish. I like the long rods on the ECHO SHADOW II and Echo Shadow II Competition Kit.

This is a great little kit when you want to get some extra reach. I am not a competition fisher, just a weekend hack. But This is really cool to reach for a few distant pockets of water when euro nymphing.
