The orientation of the tippet spool holder is the key element for me, it is more ergonomic than the types that hang straight down. It's a bit expensive for the benefit, thus the 4 star.

I highly recommend this tippet spool holder! I picked up a cheap knockoff version initially and it broke off at some point taking 80 dollars in tippet with it. This design is much higher quality, and is built very heavy duty. It hangs great on my pack and doesn't make noise. Learn from my frugal mistake and buy a high quality spool holder!

Lightweight, easy to open and use, great colors ... what else can you ask for? Fishpond Name. Can be attached to many different pieces of gear. Should be the only one you'll ever need to buy. Easy to swap between packs or vests.

I keep one of these clipped the side of lumbar pack and it's super easy to get to and to get tippet off of. Works great.

This is the most useful tool I have on my fly fishing setup. I use this every time I go out. It's so much easier to pull tippet out from the holder than having to dig into your vest and unravel some tippet. 5 Stars. It even has a tippet cutter.

Perfect for holding tippet where you can get to it quick. Only think I'd change is to make the hook on it more sturdy. Mine is in great shape, hasn't broke, but it'd be nice to have something there that is as sturdy as the rest of the holder. The tippet cutter is a great little addition. Despite the plastic hook I still give this 5 stars!

I have a lot of Fishpond equipment and most of it is pretty good stuff. So until now, I’ve never needed their customer service. I have both sizes of this and it’s a great tippet holder except for the cheap plastic hook, which broke. It’s a good thing I noticed or I would of lost all my expensive tippet. I call Fishpond and they sent me a new one along with a bill for $7. Next time it breaks I’ll replace it with an aluminum carabiner.

I love this topper holder. Holds all the tippet I need while on the river also has a convenient little blade for cutting tippet on the go. I have two of these one more min and another for flouro so I can swap out tippet with ease depending on the species I’m going after.
