I’m using this net in both saltwater (kayak) and freshwater (wading) fisheries and am pretty certain it’s the last net I’ll ever need. The long handle is great for reaching trout (or halibut) and it does double duty as a wading staff. It’s so light, it’s easy to carry in my wading belt and on my ‘yak.

I love how light it is and is the perfect size for Ohio Steelhead

Best net ever. It’s light for its size and the big hoop is great for Salmon/Steelhead in my area.

I bought this to use while wading and chasing carp and gar. It's been great so far. The long arm let's you land fish with ease.

I love this net. I bought it as an upgrade since my husband has the emerger and I was looking for something with a longer arm as I’m short. This does the job perfectly. Whether it’s small or big fish your looking to catch this will be the only net you need.
I do a lot of trout fishing and just the first day on the water I caught fish from 8in-22in and the net never seemed to big or small. I thankfully have a vest that has a built in net holder so it was easy to grab and use. You can even use it as a wading staff!
I do think this is the max size for a net to carry around unless you plan on using it on a boat. I’m 5’2 and with it on my back it still came to the back of the knee but was not in the way. If your using a hip net holder then it’ll probably hit the ground depending on how tall you are.
10/10 would recommend.

I bought this bet. Didn’t like the price but now that I used it all season, I’m glad I got it. Perfect size basket for steelhead and long enough handle to net them yourself. 8/10 would recommend

this net is great because of the size and the reach. Its long handle allows you to net fish further away from you and this is key especially when you are using rods greater than 10ft.

I use this net while wade fishing for large browns on the Farmington river. The long handle allows me to net large fish by myself and significantly reduces the chances of losing larger fish. This is about as big as a net as you'll be able to carry wade fishing. Anything larger would get in the way.

I purchased the El Jefe net on the recommendation of a friend. It is an awesome net in quality and frankly it saved me once when I overdid it and did not have my wading staff; the net is easily used as an emergency staff, thank goodness. If you are wading big water with a friend, this is the net to have, if you are wading small water and carrying a lot of stuff with you, this is a lot of net to have with you. I recommend you get the cap for the end if you are going to use it to wade with to protect the paint on the handle. It is unbelievably light weight, like scary light compared to its size and incredibly strong too, did I mention it can be used as a wading staff....

There is nothing bad I can say about this net. It is light and the materials are of the highest quality. I enjoy a net with a longer reach, so this is perfect for me. However, if you are looking for a small compact net to use on small wild fish, this is probably not for you. However, if you target stockies, stealhead, etc...this net will last a lifetime.
