FISHPOND NOMAD EMERGER NET
The Nomad Emerger net was designed to work with both packs and vests. The longer handle can easily tuck behind a pack but is not too long to hang off the back of a vest. Nomad Nets are constructed with carbon fiber/fiberglass composite material. The result is a very lightweight and durable net. Nomad Nets are built for the conditions that prevail where great fishing exists; they are waterproof, UV protected, and float like a cork. All Nomad Nets come standard with a rubber bag. The Nomad Nets are our number one selling net and our #1 net our guides use on the water.

I do both wading in streams and float tube fishing in lakes. I like this one more for float tube fishing because of the extended handle length which makes it easier to reach out to net fish. It's got a "narrow" basket and I have another shorter handle net with a wider basket (Frabill), that is lighter that I prefer for stream/wading. A wider basket means I'm less likely to "whiff" when I'm trying to land one in a stream. The Fishpond Nomad Emerger is a great quality, well built and really great looking net.

Beautiful Brown Trout finish and exceptional quality. Narrower net profile fits great in a wading belt and comfortable on your back. Net actually floats which is a great addition. Rubber netting is great for the fish and wont snag on hooks and tangle. Net is tall enough to double as a wading staff in faster water. A little investment for a net, but 100% worth it!

The length of this net is perfect for wading. It has enough length to reach fish when using a 10+ foot ESN rod but is not so long as to catch on every branch when it is mounted behind your back.
The incredible lightness is something I can appreciate along with the superb finish of the River Armor coating.

Roomy net for those 24 inches we all dream about. Yet still lightweight enough to not even be noticed on your back or tucked into your belt. Mine is still new but the construction shows every sign of this net outliving me!

So far I have really enjoyed this net. I have put it to the test with several 20”+ fish with plenty of room. I have yet to be disappointed by anything that is Fishpond.

I purchased the River Armor version of this net and could not be more pleased. The fit and finish is excellent, which I would expect from Fishpond and at this price point for a net. This model comes with measurement markings on both sides of the handle (I was not aware of this when I ordered the net and was pleasantly surprised to find this feature). The Kevlar weave looks great in person (pictures don't do it justice, if looks are important to you) and I think adds durability and protection to a net that should last many years. I think that this size is a great compromise between giving you extended reach but still remaining easily portable when wading. I carry it from the back of my vest without trouble. I would highly recommend this net to the wading angler who is looking for an all around net.

This net is the perfect combination of size and handle length for me while wading. I have used it with a magnet attached to my vest as well as tucked into a sheath on my belt. It's a little more expensive than I would have liked, but my ReelCash (thank you, ReelFlyRod!) came in handy. I know this net will last for years to come and I can't wait to catch a fish that will fill the rubber mesh!

this is the best all-around net I've found. it's short enough for wading but long enough for light boat duties. after losing my first net, i purchased this one and it's just as good as my old one. love it.

The net itself is a work of art. My main concern was with how high the Emerger would sit when on the back of my FP Thunderhead Chest pack and thus the ease with which to draw and re-sheath. The net sits at a perfect height in the back net sheath...not too high to be in the way when casting or moving under low hanging branches but, high enough to easily draw it out of the sheath when it's time. I'm no youngster and my mobility isn't what it once was, but I must say, the longer handle of the Emerger makes drawing and re-sheathing a breeze.
