Love the modularity of the system - add small trash container, bottle holder, rod holder, etc. Easily slides to the back (without damaging waders) for freedom of movement, but I can keep river grip scissors accessible on shoulder strap. Would buy again 100%.

The belt is very comfortable and puts all the weight on your hips so your upper back and shoulders aren't tight from wearing a pack or sling all day. Plenty of storage options and the built in net holder is easy to access when wade fishing

Love this pack. The belt is supportive. The pack can rotate around the belt which is nice. The magnet front pouch is killer. Just with this were waterproof.

I love my new Fishpond Switchback Pro it has a lot more room then the original Switchback along with the molded net holder in belt.They is tons of storage space for all your fly boxes,pockets for your leaders.Its also nice that you can move the pack out of your way.Love the Pack!

Not too big and not too small. Fits all the gear you really need for a day on the river. Fits comfortably, easily accessible and easily adjustable for a perfect fit. You can go larger or smaller but why bother when this is the perfect size. Accessory options are many and can be customized to fit your style of fishing. For me it was the perfect fit.

First, let me say that Fishpond products are some of the best products on the market and secondly they are a very innovative company using recycled materials and creative designs. Case-in-point? The Switchback Pro Wading system. Serving double duty as a padded wader belt, it works perfectly with my chest waders AND my pant waders but the real value is the sliding hip pack. I have owned their competitors hip packs and always felt there was something amiss when I had to get to the pack. Rotating the entire belt/hip pack was tiresome with constant unclipping and then having to remove of my mid length net. The net holders were integrated and usually held between the hip pack and your upper back but when the bag is rotated to the front, the net bag is now in between you and accessing the contents of the pack thus having to remove it. Perhaps I could have done a better job managing by loading a small fly box and putting it in my shirt pocket but the Fishpond Switchback eliminated all that as it easily slides around to the front to access everything. The "Pro" version Switchback pack is larger than its sibling but I still find it smaller than the competition and it made me reduce my inventory. On the positive side there is room on the belt to add another bag such as the FP Thunderhead submersible pouch if needed. I also love the separate built-in net holder on the belt that makes easy access to my FP mid-length net and eliminates the aforementioned problems noted earlier. Finally, the shoulder strap has room for forceps and zingers as well as another fly patch and is very comfortable. This is a very functional hip pack and if you're contemplating adding a hip pack look at this one first then compare it with the others. It's hard to beat.
