Well machined and solid tools. All of the basics to get started and don't think I'll be needing any other tools soon. Highly recommend.

Loon products are the best. This Core Kit is great to start your fly tying tool kit, or add to your exiting tools. The plastic storage box allows you to throw all the necessary tools needed along with your vice into a travel bag for fly tying on fishing road trips.

If you are tying with anything other than this loon set you are nothing than a noob.

This Loon kit has ALL the essentials you will need to start tying most flies. The quality is decent and I love that they are a bright yellow. It makes them easy to see amongst the fuzz and feathers that tend to accumulate throughout a typical day of tying flies. You will save a few bucks by buying it in a kit.
Oh, one thing, Don't forget to grab a bobbin threader. It's not in there..

I'm new to fly tying and have been really happy with my Loon kit. Compared to what I've seen in beginner tool kits. I think this is a good price for some really good quality essential tools for first time tyers.

The tools in this kit are of excellent quality and are beyond worth the investment

I wanted to get into tying my own flies this summer and read this was a better tool kit than what comes in a starter set. I'm happy with my purchase, the tools are easy to handle and seem very well made.

I bought this kit as an upgrade to the cheapo tools that came with a different fly tying kit. They are way better and this is a decent price and a very nice protective case as well. I wish there were 2 different types of scissors though. It would be nice to ditch the bodkin for that.

This set is the improved version of the old Loon tying kit. The whip finish tool is the only bad thing in the kit, my personal opinion.
