Loon Rogue Mitten Scissor Clamps With Comfy Grip

I bought these for my 10 yr old son - He likes that they have scissors and a hook clearing needle. He said there wasn't anything he didn't like!

I noticed that our guide on a recent drift boat trip was using these Loon mitten clamps and I had to give them a try. They are very well made and I like how they open and close with the same squeezing motion. Even though they are designed for when using mittens, they are are awesome for year around use. I won't be going back to my regular forceps. The Rogue clamp has built in scissors when you don't want to use your nice nippers on thicker material. The hook eye clearing needle works great and the tips of the jaws are flat which is great for flattening barbs.

I use these mitten clamps nearly exclusively for all my fishing. The scissors are sharp and precise enough to clip tag ends after tying even the smallest flies on. The jaws are thin enough to crimp barbs on a size 18 fly or smaller, but strong enough to crimp barbs on the largest saltwater flies that I use. They do rust relatively easily if used around saltwater, but that is my fault, not theirs.

These work great for me! It is great to have an all-in-one tool that handles the demand of quick Chang outs.
