I picked up the echo trout in a bundle with a Lamson Liquid -3+ Fly Reel from ReelFlyRod at the beginning of the year. Using the echo trout have thrown dry dropper rigs, stripped streamers in high mountain lakes, thrown dries to wild browns in small high mountain streams, and done some deep water nymph work using a NZ wool indicator. This rod has a wonderful action that has allowed me to cast anything that I have tied on. Overall, this is a solid choice for a fly rod once you get used to the quick action of a carbon fiber rod. The echo trout has given me a good year, and I look forward to many years to come working with this outfit.
