I fished the Orange Belly Diving Frog today. Not with the recommended style, but I topwatered it. Holy cheese almighty. I cannot explain it. I would pull in line (couple feet), it would come in as you would expect, and then the fly did a little secondary kick. Like all inertia ran out, and then it just kicked again. I've never seen anything like it. I know this fly is built for a different reason. But holy cow, it swam on it's own. I twitched that bugger numerous times and it did the same thing. I want it in a more natural frog color for top water. If you pull hard enough to pull it under, it wont do it. I wish I had more information, but there was a large lightning strike after about 20 minutes of me playing with it, and I got out of dodge.
