    REDINGTON CLASSIC TROUT 376-4 FLY ROD : 3WT, 7'6"

Redington Classic Trout fly rods are classic styled medium-action rods built on modern technology. This Classic Trout 376-4 is a smooth, crisp, and lively technical trout rod for small creeks and streams. The CT 376-4 makes flawless dry fly presentations and is a true pleasure to nymph small pocket water. The shorter 7'6" length will get you into the tightest situations and heavy cover where trout love to hide. You have never had as much fun with a fly rod in your hands as you will with sweet little 3wt rod!

Classic Trout fly rods are designed specifically for the trout angler. These rods are designed to be incredibly light in the hand, with a modern take on the classic smooth and forgiving action that protects light tippets and telegraphs the feel of every head shake when you hook a small brookie. Finishing touches like a rosewood reel seat, high quality components, alignment dots, and a machined reel seat make this a very impressive rod at a modest price.

Redington is well known for producing high quality, performance fly rods that feel and fish like high-end rods costing hundreds of dollars more, at value prices that are accessible to any angler. I bought this rod specifically to fish some local small streams with lots of shoreline and overhead brush and it has not disappointed. I’ve fished with plenty of much more expensive, US made rods, and the Classic Trout 376-4 performs just as well as a higher end rod for these types of situations. Maybe it wouldn’t be as accurate for long distance casting, I really couldn’t say because I have other rods for those situations. I use this rod only for specific small streams where I have to cast in tight areas. The rod reminds me a lot of a Sage LL 470 that I owned many years ago. It casts a 3wt line with a single fly effortlessly. Haven’t fished it with a tandem rig up to this point as most of the small streams I use this rod on aren’t big enough to fish a multi-fly rig. But for what I use the rod for it is absolutely ideal and I couldn’t be happier with it. Of course I’d love to buy a US made rod but at almost ten times the price, I just can’t justify it for the limited uses that this rod will see.

I actually downgraded from an Orvis Superfine Glass, to the same 7'6 3wt model. It's great for fishing spring creeks in the driftless region and is pleasure to cast. I definitely think it's one of the best deals in fly fishing, would also recommend picking up the 4wt.

I do a lot of fishing with 1wt and 2wt rods, I have found the Redington Classic in 3wt is just the rod needed for those situations where a little more backbone is helpful. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with this little rod, how it handles, how it feels, it's great looks and it's extremely affordable price.

The Redington Classic Trout is my go to rod for small creek fish. Its short length is perfect for working around obstacles such as branches and boulders. This rod has a medium action, which is great for throwing small dries and terrestrials. When paired with Redington’s Zero reel ane Rio’s Gold line, this setup can handle any creek you can imagine. (Also works well for panfish).

My Classic Trout 3wt 7’6” is the perfect second outfit for me (first is a 5wt 9, Redington Path II with Crosswater Reel). I paired it with a 2/3 Redington Zero, great for bluegill and smaller creeks and rivers when I know I want to feel more of the fish. The rod has a quality construction and a solid warranty.

Got this rod paired with the zero reel. It is a joy to use on my local creeks here in the eastern Sierra. I’ve had it on the St Joes in northern Idaho as well. Very fun rod.
