Very functional, especially for those who don’t have much space. Easily handles hooks 4-18. Think bigger “ought” hooks are manageable but probably a reason to purchase one of the saltwater ones. Rotary function helps see all areas of the fly. Would recommend for intermediate fly tyers / those looking to upgrade their first vise.

This is an outstanding vice. The rotary function makes dubbing nymphs a breeze. My flies look more professional and my tying speed has increased.

I am new to fly fishing and fly tying. I read many articles aimed at novices. Most articles played down fly tying 'kits' and encouraged rotary vises. So, I determined that a rotary was the way to go. As a beginner I also didn't want to spend $500 - $1000 dollars either. I settled on the Renzetti Traveler 2000 Series Vise for several reasons. Price point of course and also that it is a true rotary vise. In addition it has very good reviews. I believe I made a great choice. Out of the box I was immediately impressed with the quality of construction and the simplicity of design. Within a mater of minutes I had it assembled and was tying my first fly. I could not be more pleased with my decision.

Wow! Fantastic vice. My flies look so much better now that I can see both sides using the rotary function. Wrapping dubbing and wire is a breeze!

Simply put, this thing is awesome! I wish that I would have bought it years ago. A true rotary vise makes wrapping/ribbing 100 times easier. The price of this vise is also very attractive. I can make size 2 streamers all the way down to size 26 midges in the jaws of this vice. The clamping force is also fantastic. Haven't had a hook slip once.

Having never tied a fly I did quite a bit of research trying to decide on my first vise. That research convinced me that a $49 'starter' vise was not what I wanted. I purchased this vise because it had the features I wanted and of course, the price point. As I unpacked and assembled the vise I was very pleased with it's quality. In the first 3 hours I tied 10 flys (Shad Dart). Although a vise performs a fairly simple task, holding a hook, it must also stay fixed allowing for all of the motions involved in the tying process. For this rookie, it did it's job. Having never used any other vise, I can make no comparison to any other. I am very happy with this vise.

Great vise to purchase! It is very well build and you can rotate the jaws very easily.
