Reel is smooth and tight. I bought it to use with a SAGE ESN 4100-4 fly rod and the system feels balanced. The drag system works well and I like the visual cues on the face of the reel so you can tell exactly what you have the drag set for at a glance when you first get started for the day. The reel is attractive. This reel shows that SAGE put in the attention to detail so that everything works well. I have no complaints with this reel.

I had been running a Sage 3200 on my 4 wt. Drag left a lot to be desired so I ordered the Spectrum. Great improvement, and will give me a lot more confidence when I'm playing larger fish. The drag detents work perfectly. This was my first purchase from Reelflyrod and I was very satisfied with the speed they filled my order, and the backing was a perfect fit for my 4wt line. Very happy with the whole experience.
