SAGE SPECTRUM C 7/8 FLY REEL : 7-8WT
The new Sage Spectrum C Fly Reel is attractive, durable, and powerful. Spectrum C reels feature a proven, completely sealed, carbon fiber disc drag system that is smooth and powerful, with the ability to put the brakes on big species like bass, steelhead, bonefish, and salmon. These lightweight reels are beautifully designed, and offer anglers a tough, durable Sage reel at an entry level price.
Spectrum C reels use next generation, die-cast technology followed by CNC machining to reduce weight and create a unique, attractive frame and spool. These reels are then powder coated with an advanced polymer to create a 'tough as nails' finish that resists scratches, dents, and saltwater corrosion. An oversized, machined, and anodized one-revolution drag knob makes for easy adjustments to the drag, and the fully machined, anodized, ergonomic reel handle improves grip and comfort.
These reels have a large arbor and concave spool which produces fast line pick up, while increasing strength and backing capacity. Spectrum C reels easily convert from left to right hand retrieve and include a Sage embroidered ballistic nylon reel pouch for safe storage. Sage Spectrum C reels are among the best quality to price values on the market and will provide years of flawless performance.

Very good reel for the price. Let’s line out when spooled one way and brings it in when wound the other. Drag seems good and worked well to stop over spooling and also manage a 5lb fresh rainbow. Easy to change with spare spools.

Terrific reel for the price. Love the drag setting indicator system. Super durable. Don't let the cast aluminum fool you. The reel can take a punishment.

This is more than just a good real for the price, it's just a good real period. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles but all the function is there. Great for stillwater setups when you need several other spare spools with multiple types of sink.

The absolute best reel under $200. The sealed drag makes all the difference. perfect on a 7/8 wt for steelhead.

I paired this with an 8wt Mojo bass rod for lake fishing from a kayak. used it over the summer and it works great with that rod and I have no complaints at all. seems well made, works very well and though I can't say that I have stressed the drag at all with what I've caught so far it seems good enough for whatever I might find myself hooking into. and I think it looks good as well.

I've never been one to drop a lot of coin on reels. I like them as much as the next angler, but I view them more as a line holder than a status symbol or something I need to put a lot of money toward (unlike, say, a rod). Given the price, this reel does everything needed without breaking the bank or making me look like the tightwad that I am. Highly recommend.

I have owed for about 8 months and I love it. super smooth and very durable. I have dropped it on rock a few times and have had no issues with cracking or chipping. if you are trying to save some cash but still want a great reel, get this reel.

My buddy got this reel and it’s definitely better than the comparable redington behemoth. Good clicker, good drag. Good reel for the money

I bought the Sage Spectrum C for sight casting to Texas Redfish. It is a very attractive and well built reel for the money. I plan on buying more.
