    Simms AlumiBite Cleats (10puck)

With the current pushing against your legs and your eyes on the river, you need to be able to trust your feet. The more solid your footing, the more you can relax and enjoy being in the water. The AlumiBite Cleats are the absolute best for very slick substrates! The AlumiBite Star Cleats work directly with our StreamTread lug pattern for traction you can trust on varied river bottoms and mossy rocks. The cleats are soft enough to conform to what's under your foot as you change locations. With solid footing, your cast is better and you're free to explore the river.

    FEATURES

These provide good traction. However lost a handful over last few trips even after putting some aqua seal on the threads before screwing them in.

    Not for the hike-in fisherman

I have purchased these several times now and will likely look for a less expensive option moving forward. To fully cover both boots, you will need to buy two pucks which comes out to $45. My problem with that is they seem to wear down pretty quickly and you can count on one or two falling out over the course of each fishing trip. I tend to do a lot of hiking while fishing which shortens their life and they only seem to last me around 8-10 days on the water. The grip however is great, so if you spend most of your time in the water and not hiking around trying to find the money hole, I would recommend them. Also, the fact that you need to buy two pucks per one set of boots is a party foul on Simms part. They should straighten that out. @simmsflyfishing
