i've taken these boots out a few times, including to a particularly difficult area to wade - they've done great. easy to hike in and great wading boots once you reach water.

I bought these to replace my Simms Freestones, and these boots are amazingly light. Easy to put on, can wear all day, wet wading or with waders!

I've been using these boots since they came out and they are great to walk and wade all day in. They truly are fly weight! I always wish for half sizes as I always fall in between. Great boots and highly recommended.

These boots really put it all together. Not only are they great looking and super comfortable, but they have just the right amount of support and superb traction. I have to restrain myself from wearing them as everyday footwear! All this, with legendary Simms quality and awesome service from RFR!

I've owned many pairs of wading boots and nothing, NOTHING! compares to these Simm Flyweight boots for comfort, long treks through the bush, and ease of putting them on or off either dry or wet. Waders or wet wading these can't be beat for all day comfort and protection. I purchased this pair from ReelFlyRod and they are the best at customer service.

Of all my fly fishing purchases, this may be the best product I've bought. The upgrade from my old pair of Korkers to these bad boys was felt immediate. They are super light, which is great when you slog around for hours in wading boots. I tend to hike in at least a mile wherever I go, so having light boots helps the old man knees. They seem very sturdy as well. We'll see how they last over time, but they seem durable. They are kind of hard on the outside, but still comfortable. For sizing - I wear a 13.5 shoe and the 14 fit great.

Finally got out on the river today to try out my new Simms Flyweight Vibrams which I added the appropriate studs. I previously had Korkers, but I have had a lot of problems with the sole tabs breaking & the heaviness compared to the Simms Flyweight. I have a better feel of the river bottom with these Simms and the lightness is such a wonderful benefit. Hands down, best wading boots out there. I can't wait til the Summer to use as wet wading boots.

Just what I was looking for

I spent the last few months looking for lightweight wading boots that I could use to hike to my fly fishing destination, then fish - without feeling like I was wearing bricks on my feet. Initially, I was open to any brand, but quickly narrowed my search to the Orivs' lightweight boot and Simm's Flyweight boot. After looking at the reviews (including YouTube videos), and checking both out at my local shop, I decided to go with the Simm's Flyweight boot - with a Vibram sole. While I liked both boots, I liked the feel of the Simm's Flyweight boot better and the fact that the boots ride higher over my ankle. To ensure I had enough grip on slippery rocks, I ended up buying the 3/8" Hold Kutter studs (18-3080), which are typically used for racing motorcycles on ice. However, they seem to attach pretty securely to the Simms Flyweight boot - without even coming close to protruding into the foot bed. As well, the heads look like they'll give me plenty of traction. In any case, the one caveat with this review is that I haven't had a chance to use my new boots in the field. Given everything I've read and how the boots feel on my foot (with neoprene wading "socks"), I think they'll work out great. If, however, my actual experience is different, I'll try to update this review. One other note - I also have Simm's Freestone boots, which I'll continue to use with my waders. My intention behind buying the Flyweight boots was to use them for "wet wading" during the summer (with hiking pants that have zip-off leg bottoms).
