SIMMS FREESTONE WADING BOOT, RUBBER
Simms Freestone Boot has a proven record of durability and traction in rocky rivers around the world. It provides the support underfoot and at the ankle for negotiating slick, unseen river bottoms. The synthetic uppers take the abuse of brush, rock and water in stride, while a cushioned midsole and partial neoprene lining provide all-day cushioning and warmth. A very popular seller for overall comfort, durability, and longevity through many seasons.
- Waterproof synthetic leather & scratch rubber upper
- Partial neoprene lining
- Dual‐density EVA midsole for shock absorption
To allow proper room for the neoprene stockingfoot, find your regular shoe size in the right-hand columns and order the corresponding Simms Boot in the first column. This will typically be one size up from your normal shoe size for men and one size down for women (ie: a women's USA size 8 would take a men's boot size 7).
(Simms Boot size 5 will fit a Youth Size 4, etc.)
Not all styles available in all sizes; please see individual boot for size specifics

I had tried some other boots like Korker greenbacks and Orvis Clearwater. I found these to be much higher quality and better built. Some brands have had issues w sole delamination. I wear a 10.5 and 11 fits perfect. Also the fit around the ankles are better than the others I tried.

Just got these and have used them wading in a cold Oregon river with larger smooth round rocks. Was difficult to get good footing and I need to install cleats! They are really comfortable and my feet stayed warm and dry. Also used in my float tube with waders. After a few hours of constant paddling, I could feel a little rubbing above my heel but hope it’s just new boots that need to be broken in. I used reel points on my purchase so hard to complain when I got them for such a great price!
I wear size 10 shoe, purchased these in size 11 and the fit is good with Caddis brand neoprene stocking foot waders.

These are some seriously sturdy boots. They felt great wading out into some fast water this past weekend. The only thing I would make people aware of is that these boots are narrow. I have pretty wide feet so I do wish they offered a "wide" version. No big deal, just a note about the design.

This is my 3rd year with these boots and they are very durable and comfortable. I've had 8+ hour days in these boots and my feet didn't get sore from standing in rocky stream beds. The rubber sole is sticky but I like them better since I added cleats. Great ankle support and big toe box.

These boots are quite comfortable. Plenty of room in the toe box and the neoprene inner is great and makes it very easy to slide booties into. However, the sole was very stiff. I don't know if this will flex more over time but walking in them was awkward enough to send them back

The grip by these wading shoes is surprisingly good. They dries fast as well. The inner sole is glued and you do not need to take it out for washing. The materials used tend to tear (sole) or crack (ankle) after uses for a year or so.
