The Simms G3 Guide Wading Boot is designed with working guides in mind. This means the support, traction and durability that 200-plus days on the river demand. The boot features big-time ankle support and an enhanced feel underfoot to help you get to hard-to-reach places. Simms RiverTread sole gives you more feeling under your boot, so the unseen becomes easier to navigate without compromising on the overall support or traction of the boot. With proven durability to handle the wear and tear of hiking and wading day in and day out, the G3 Guide Boot gives you confidence to move across rocky river bottoms anywhere in the world.

ESS plates for improved cleat retention & proprioception
Just received these in time for an upcoming trip. Never owned a Simms product before and ordered these on recommendation from reviews and others. I wear a 10.5 wide shoe size and originally ordered an 11 boot, but had seen reviews that these can run small, so decided to go up to a 12. I tried them on with some wet wading neoprene socks and the fit is good - there is slightly more room in the toe than I need, but should be fine with a little thicker sock. Very well made boot and great customer svc from RFR. thanks.
There is only one boot you need - Simms G3

This boot model (G3's) has served me well over many years of fishing, I get about 3 to 4 years per pair. I wade fish year round. They are rock solid, and very comfortable.
I've owned other brands in the 40 years of fly fishing and I just don't bother with other brands anymore. I look at my buddies feet and see the seams splitting, rocks stuck in removable soles, or side walls collapsed. They thank me when I see them in their new GS's. I would recommend replacing the laces with Obenauf waxed boot laces, It make tightening a breeze and they last longer than the Simms laces.
