Purchased the Thunderhead sling pack to keep my gear dry in the event of rain or an accidental dunk. Pack is lighter than my previous pack and is surprisingly roomy inside. Satisfied with the purchase.

This bag is perfect for use while wading. It's big enough to hold all of the essentials, but not too big to wear all day. It's also great as a small boat bag, and is the perfect size for a canoe or kayak. The build quality is bomb proof.

This bag has a lot of room but not too much internal organization. Still would recommend this if you are tired of getting your peanut butter and jellys getting soaked.

Work with ReelFlyRod staff on some similar packs and recommendations. I went with the Fishpond and love it. Stays dry and hangs great when accessing your gear. Do it.

Who wants to eat a wet sandwich? Not me. You have fished all day and made one bad move that has your gear soaked. Don’t go hungry. But this sling, keep your gear and lunch dry.

I picked up this and the chest pack and am in love. Especially this sling. Best piece of fishing gear I’ve ever bought. Perfect for rainy season.

Fishpond Thunderhead Submersible Sling worked like a champ during some cold and rainy fly fishing adventures. The bag is large enough to fit a boat box and can hold good amount of gear for whatever you may find on the water.

I've tried many hip packs, chest packs, backpacks, even the Fishpond Summit Sling and Switchback belt system. This bag is the perfect size. Not too big, not too small, just right and well thought out. Great color choices and it's waterproof.

The Fishpond Thunderhead Sling is better than anything other sling out there. I used to have an Orvis Waterproof Sling Pack and had to return it because the zipper pull tabs came off. The Thunderhead is superior in every way. The zipper pull tabs are sewn and glued. There are more connection points, and the but in net holder is awesome. I looked at the Simms and Patagonia waterproof bags also, but the Fishpond is just better built and had a better layout. Don't think about it, buy the Fishpond Thunderhead and you can thank me later.
