I own the Hydro SL reel and use it regularly for Striper fishing here in New England. It's really durable and maintains smooth drag even after 100's of uses. So, I purchased this reel for fresh water fly fishing. I've only used it once so far but it's as good or better than my saltwater Hydros reel. Highly recommended!
