What an upgrade from my 9', 5 weight rods! My new Echo Stillwater 6 weight adds an extra 18 inches of length, making casting from my pontoon boat so much easier. The flex in the rod makes it a joy to cast. When I get my double haul going I can cast to the backing and easy 40 feet on a simple roll cast. It comes with a fighting butt end that's easy to attach. The rod is well made and comes with a sleeve and tube that will protect it well.

Lamson never fails. This reel is lightweight, has a smooth drag and the price is the lowest for this quality on the market. Will buy it again.

This is a great thing to add to your bag. It keeps things dry for a relatively low cost.

You must add these to your boots. They add a ton of traction and keep you out of trouble.

Good bag. Light weight. Packs down nicely. Keeps stuff dry.

First let me say this indeed a nice, well made reel and I like it. However, it is not made for rough conditions. In order to achieve its light weight some rigidity was sacrificed. I can squeeze the frame and effectively stop the reel from turning. I cannot do this on my other reels (Galvan). If you drop it on something hard it will probably bend as it has for me. Again, this is a nice reel, but if you do a lot of rock hopping, brush busting, or just kinda clumsy, this is not the reel for you.

chose this reel from recommendations needing a light, affordable small reel for creek fishing...holds line perfectly ;) Seems durable and the color options are appealing to those with a little flair. Going to pick up an extra spool or 2.

I wanted to give a glass rod a shot and this seemed a good entry rod and potentially long term quiver addition. I fish a small stream in Eastern Ontario with heavy cover, so this length is deal. I have been out twice and have landed several 10inch browns and the rod was tons of fun. Took a bit to learn the new casting approach, but I seem to be making improvements each time out. Highly recommend.

Decent combo kit for an expensive item (hackle) to fully buy into
