Of note, I've only lawn cast this rod. But with that in mind, it is by far my least favorite of the H3 8wt options. It simply lacks the power I'm looking for in an 8wt. I would have zero faith that this rod could handle larger flies or any fly when faced with a significant headwind. It may be the rod for you if you're looking for a finesse touch to your 8wt, but I'd recommend checking out the H3D or Blackout versions instead.

The tippet did not perform as expected from Rio. Kept breaking on average fish.

Really wanted to love these waders, everything about them seemed perfect. I'm 6'5", 205lbs, the LLL were too short, despite saying they have a 34" inseam. They say they fit someone up to 6'4", not sure how that would be. Quality seemed to be great, but if I tried to kneel or bend over they wanted to split me in two. I'm sure I would've given them a 5 Star review had they fit. I've talked to Patagonia about making their sizing better for us that are tall, hopefully they will.

Not what I was expecting. I am used to head cement that is a little thicker and applies easily.

Is it really worth spending 150 on a wading stick when you can use a used hiking or ski pole? I can't justify spending the money on it.

This assortment gets the job done for the price. I'd say that the leather leader straightener is somewhat unnecessary, but the other tools in the kit have held up fishing all four seasons of the year.

I really liked these waders until the 6th time I wore them when a large leak opened up on the right foot. I'm now dealing with Redington Warranty Hell as so far I've not been able to contact a live one and have had several emails bounce when sending them to the email address listed on the phone line! I will post another review after I hopefully successfully navigate Far Bank's warranty process for waders! The issue appears to be a workmanship issue as I can see the tape lifting up on the leaky booty!

I love the jack-knifing action on this fly when it is fished on a intermediate or sinking line. At around 7 inches long, I would not call it mini though. Maybe I was accidentally sent the full size version instead of the mini

I use the 9wt Predator with a Behemoth 9/10 reel and Rio Outbound Short Intermediate line for Pike. You can cast this thing a long way even with big wind resistant flies. Its a tough rod as well and you can really put the brakes on anything in the water without worrying about breaking the rod. That said, its heavy. 9wts in general are not a pleasure to fish with all day long and its the case with the Predator. One way to combat it is to minimize false casting and shoot as much line as you can. This rod does that no problem.
