As typical with Fishpond gear, these retractors are well made and will likely last for years. That's why I'm giving them 2 stars. That said, I do not like these retractors. They take up much more vertical length than traditional zingers and cannot carry as much weight as the traditional Fishpond zinger. The cord will not retract unless you help it back into its cylinder. Every item i've attached to these retractors pulls the line out throughout the day on its own while you're walking/wading. you end up with a bunch of tools hanging 6"-18" down from the retractor. I'll keep purchasing Fishpond gear. just not these.

I have this line and it is similar to the euro nymph leader I use. Not sure if I am using correctly.

This line is ok and does what it is suppose to do. This is a good line for a beginner or a budget setup but it tends to be fairly stiff.

The tie is well done. The fly however did not match the picture. Will still use as the color should work well.

Much smaller pattern than expected

This is a totally functional reel, but you get what you pay for. At this price range I'd go for a classic President.

This reel is not bad. It feels pretty nice in the hand and has a well adjustable drag for a 2/3. My only real issue with it is the tolerance between the spool and frame. Right out of the box I noticed a pretty good sized gap. Decided to fish it for the summer anyways, but I found my line slipping through that gap quite frequently. Can be a fairly frustrating issue especially when there is a fish involved. If it wasn't for that little extra gap it would get 5 stars.

This is a well made pack, but I far prefer the Summit model. This is a bit bulky, and the shape is unattractive. Perhaps better built but functionally the Summit is perfect

I'm a Redington fan and my son and I combined own about 8 Redington rods. I purchased this 6 pc model for my son who does a lot of backpacking/camping and thought this would be a good rod to take along. We've had too many instances where the rod pieces come apart when casting. We tried to secure the pieces together better, but it continues to fail and we will have to return it to Redington for warranty repair (and will ask if we can get a 4 pc in return instead). I also know that due to COVID, Redington's inventory and turnaround times at this time is not good. I had another rod repair that took them 5 months to turnaround due to inventory backlog. I appreciate their warranty and willingness to take care of their customers, just know the current wait times can be a little frustrating.
