The reel is ok for the money. When I took a photo of a fish I submerged it into the river. The ball bearing in the interior became completely rusty. Kudos to Orvis for quickly replacing it for free

Great value for starting out. I’m new and have used this for browns and brookies in WI. Smaller fish,approx 10” or less, can sneak through the mesh of this net. Longer handle would be nice.

To begin, I am pretty new to fly fishing, so I had to decide between a vest, a sling, a chest pack. I loved the storage. I’m able to pack away my thin raincoat when not needed and was able to fit gloves and a hat in early season fishing. The water bottle holder is great and easy to get to without removing the pack. Not super happy with the net storage solution. I think it would work better with a long handle net, but my cheapo net slides out of the holder all the time. The downside on a sling, not necessarily this sling, is the constant near to rotate it around to your front to work. Each time you do this, your net needs to come out of the holder too. Makes it a chore to do any work. That said, I am learning to work in this system and overall I’m happy with the product.

Great price for a solid net. Holes are a little large for smaller fish but there is a great way to solve that problem, catch bigger fish!

Well constructed bag that will hold up over time. There is a spacious mat that rolls out for ample space to hop around and occasionally lose your balance. The wader compartment is a bit tight for my size large waders and my size 11 boots, but they fit. My only wish would be to make the clasps a little more solid so I'd be more confident traveling in a plane with these. Definitely don't check, and be careful removing from the overhead as the hook style closures may slip out during turbulence.

This reel actually looks amazing but performs like a basic reel. No wow factors or frills to brag about.

Mini gamechanger schlappen does what it says. Works well for small feather game changers, bugger changers. Should work for any fly requiring small palmered feathers.

Nice all around assortment. Been fishing on smaller creeks/rivers this spring and most of the flies are a little big. No problem though as they will all be used in the future

The aesthetics of the reel are great. I understand why everyone loves this reel. However, the craftsmanship (in my opinion) leaves me to question if it is worth the price. I don't believe the faults I find would hinder landing a fish, but I have some issue with the imPerFeckshions. All in all, I like this reel. But I expected more from a company like Sage. Possibly I got the 1:100, but life isn't perfect. Fish on and protect the resource.

Not a lot of wow factor. Serviceable.
